    • Road Closure: St John’s Road - Bedlington Station Ser: 1, 2, 57A, 434 and 448

      8th Jun 2026 - 18th Jul 2026

      Due to Highways repairs being carried out by Northumberland County Council on St Johns Road from the 8th June for upto 12 weeks, services 1, 2, 57A, 434 and 448 will be subject to diversion.
      During this time services will be unable to service the stops outside of the Clayton Arms and also at Moorland Avenue.
      As a result services 1, 57A and 434 towards Blyth, Whitley Bay or Widdrington Station will serve the stop opposite Monsoons Takeaway. Service 1 / 57A towards Ashington will serve it’s normal stop outside of Monsoons. Service 2 towards Blyth will serve the stop outside of Monsoons Takeaway as well as Bedlington Library, service 2 towards Morpeth will serve the stop opposite Monsoons Takeaway.

      Service 2:
      Towards Morpeth buses will bare right onto Schalksmuhle Road (at Aldi), up to the roundabout and turn right towards Guide Post
      Towards Blyth, turn left at Bedlington Morrisons and follow Schalksmuhle Rd to re join normal route.

      Service 43:
      Towards Morpeth from East Hartford will double back along A192 to Plessey Checks roundabout, turn right and follow A192 towards Morpeth at Hartford Bridge. At Nedderton Service station turn right towards Bedlington continue along road to far end of Red House Farm, turn right and re join normal route in the Morpeth direction.

      Towards Newcastle, operate normal route to Bedlington Red House farm, turn left and follow road back to Nedderton Service Station, turn left towards Hartford Bridge. At Plessey Checks roundabout turn right towards East Hartford. Loop under A192 and re join normal route to Newcastle.
      Bedlington area will not be served, passengers should use other buses and connect

      Service X21:
      Towards Newcastle will bare right onto Schalksmuhle Road (at Aldi), up to the roundabout and U Turn. Turn right onto Vulcan Way and left at junction. Follow this road to Three Horse Shoes roundabout, turn right onto A192 and follow road to re join normal route at Plessey Checks.

      Towards Ashington follow above in reverse.

      Service X22:
      Towards Newcastle after turning right onto Vulcan Way, service will divert turn and left at junction. Follow this road to Three Horse Shoes roundabout, turn right onto A192 and follow road to re join normal route at Plessey Checks.
      Towards Ashington this route will be the same but in reverse

    • Bedlington Red Lion Roundabout Closure

      14th - 21st Jul 2026

      Due to Bedlington Red Lion roundabout closure between 22.00-0600 Services X21 and X22 will not be serving Bedlington Front Street they will be diverted via B1050 Horton Road to Three Horse shoes roundabout, then along A192 picking up normal route at Fisher Lane. Service 2 will not be serving Bedlington Front Street, they will divert via Shalksmuhle Road picking up normal route from the Chesters also Service 2 will not be operating to Redhouse Farm during the closure.

      CR Reynolds will be undertaking the construction of the Thornaby Cycleway in Mitchell Avenue and Baysdale Road, Thornaby, on behalf of Stockton-On-Tees Borough Council, with a southbound closure of Baysdale Road from Roadway UK Traffic Management, in place from 20:00 on Friday 17th July 2026 until Tuesday 1st September 2026.
