Coalville
As the name suggests, Coalville is a former coal mining town, and owes much of its heritage to its industrial past. Today Coalville pays homage to this history, but it is also a market town which welcomes visitors of all interests.

The 13th century stone Manor House, renovated in the 17th century, is a museum showing how people lived in Medieval, Tudor and Stuart times. Period gardens and woodland surround the Manor House. The gardens, re-created in a 17th century style, include flower and herb gardens, an ornamental maze and an orchard.
